A little info about me :
I've lived in South Florida for most of my 29 years of life. I have been involved in field of early childhood for seven years. I'm currently working as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant in a PPEC with children from birth to 21 years of age. I have also worked in educational and early intervention settings. I have a passion for special needs children and want to continue to work in the field. I'd like to make a career out of helping children and their families gain access to the best education and services possible.
I hope this blog is interesting and informative

Hi Alfton, what does PPEC stand for? And random thought, do you think you being in the speech language field has any impact on why your favorite movies have subtitles? SIde note…this class/blog is going to be fun, informative, and very interesting.
ReplyDeletePPEC stands for Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care. And no the subtitles have nothing to do with working in the speech field. I've liked foreign movies since I was 15. I think foreign directors are way more creative in their script writing and directing style. they do whatever they want and not necessarily what's mainstream.
ReplyDeleteHi Alfton, Happy Friday!! (this may be a repeat)
ReplyDeleteThank you for your encouraging words. I will continue my empowerment work, for sure! I appreciate our discussions and idea exchanges. This is the hardest work for me, the inter-relational work involving colleague interaction. I think its important to support each other in healthy ways, especially in small communities.
Thanks again for reading and making replies to my blog. Its been an important learning tool for me to learn how to do it. Our interaction has helped me to see how blogging can be a useful tool in this day and age.
